Preservation and extension of asset life of remnant gardens and associated European settler heritage elements, leading to visual enhancement of Kalorama Park for the benefit and well-being of park users. Enjoying volunteer work and socialising in this lovely park in the Dandenong Ranges.
The group’s activities align with The Dandenong Ranges National Park Management Plan with the main aim of protecting the flora and fauna of the park through the removal of environmental weeds. Activities include general maintenance of remnant exotic/native garden beds and BBQ areas, through clearing debris, weeding, and in-fill planting. We also collaborate with Parks Victoria in the repair of physical assets in poor condition, including BBQ shelters, a tool shed, paths and stone walls. Our Working Bees are generally held on Sunday mornings and approximately 6 times a year.
