Join our ranger-led Fish Count session to learn about in water census techniques and join other volunteers while you contribute to marine citizen science research. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old, & can swim & snorkel.

Meeting point: Meet at the carpark at the base of the Point Lonsdale lighthouse

Meeting time: Meet at 10am. Activity runs from 10:00am - 12.30pm.

Volunteers must be 14 years and older.
Volunteers must be competent swimmers, have their own snorkeling equipment and know how to use it.

Participants must complete the “Snorkeler Competency Assessment” form and the “Restricted Snorkeler Medical Self-Assessment” form. These forms can be found under the "Supporting Documents" tab on Park Connect, which you can access once you log into the volunteer tab on Park Connect. Once completed these documents need to be attached to your volunteer profile, under "accreditations" on Park Connect. Please ensure this is done by Monday 22nd November. If these forms are not completed, volunteers will be unable to participate.

Please also upload proof of your Covid double vaccination on to your volunteer profile under "accreditations".
