Vision

Join Parks Victoria’s fastest growing volunteer program offering you an exciting and rewarding opportunity to get involved and work alongside our park rangers, staff and interact with our visitors while hiking and camping along our most popular tracks and trails.

Our Volunteer Track Ranger program is open to anyone 18+ with hiking, bushwalking and camping experience. Choose from our Alpine region, coastal parks, inland mountains or open plains with full training and support provided. Your own vehicle is required to participate on our program as public transport is not an option.

Our vision is to offer this experience to anyone who is looking for a shorter volunteer time commitment while enjoying some of Victoria’s most iconic and visited parks, tracks and trails. Most of our parks participating do require a First Aid qualification.

Goal

Our goal for all our Volunteer Track Rangers is to provide an opportunity like no other and one that encourages those volunteering on our program to further experience and visit other parks and locations right across Victoria in their own time with family and friends.

You will need to have experience in bushwalking, hiking and camping and a good level of fitness. Camping equipment, cooking utensils, food, water and transport to sites is not supplied.
