Please meet rangers at the Melville Caves Picnic Area, off Melville Caves Road in Kooyoora State Park. Look for the Junior Ranger signs. Entry to the park is via the Wedderburn-Dunolly Road, Rheola. There are toilets, picnic tables, local walks and great views to enjoy if you want to explore the park after the activity.

This Junior Rangers activity is designed for the whole family to attend.

Discover the different fungi that are found in our parks and learn why they are so important for our forest ecosystems.

Bring drinking water, enclosed shoes or gumboots, and weather appropriate clothes, such as a rain coat, a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses etc. Magnifying glasses will be available to borrow, but feel free to bring your own if you have them. If you have a macro lens for your phone or camera, bring that too.
