To protect and preserve the natural environment of the park and to bring together people who share common interests in the natural environment.
In conjunction with Parks Victoria staff and local bushwalking and field naturalist clubs, we aim to expand visitation to the park by developing a comprehensive program of activities that: 1. Monitor and assist in the control of pest plants e.g. grey willow and blackberries. 2. Assist in the management of the walking track network, including track clearing, the clearing of water bars, and removal of campfire scars. 3. Facilitate social and educational events including special guided tours e.g. wildflower walk in summer and snow shoe walk in winter. 4. Collect information and photographs to chronicle the history of the Baw Baw Plateau and the national park. 5. Aim to improve the park for the benefit of all visitors.
