To improve the box ironbark environment especially for threatened species, and increase the community’s knowledge of the natural values and involve them in on-ground projects.
1. To increase populations of the endangered brush-tailed phascogale by providing habitat through our nest box program (on public and private land, through our Adopt-A-Nest Box program and through gaining project funding), and to raise community participation in environmental activities by attending community functions, giving presentations, holding field days and nest box building workshops. 2. To increase habitat for the Swift Parrot by revegetation on private land that adjoins PV forest. We also aim to raise community awareness of the importance of the Parks for Swift Parrot feeding.
